Had an ignition module do that once on an Olds 88. When you were in a situation that would build up heat under the hood, like waiting in line at a drive up bank, the module would quit.
Then after it cooled off for a half hour, it would be fine. I proved it one time by immediately jumping out of the car and holding a handful of snow under the module. Within a minute, it fired right up.
Someone else mentioned the ignition switch. That's a good possibility.
