Yes, I remember having to ride on the back of the drills. We used them to plant corn and cane for silage. They were 10 inch spacing, so we taped off 3 holes and left the 4th open. Had to ride back there to make sure they never ran out. Amazing how as I got older, nobody else "got" to do this job!! Also had to ride on the hay rake, hit the "tripper" with my foot, on the dump rake, to make the windrows. As I got older, we went to a rake that you could dump by pulling the rope from the tractor seat. Guess that is what helped make me who I am!!
