Is this a 3pt or drawbar unit? Have a Kuhn GF22N here.
3pt: shorten or lengthen your top link, drawbar, adjust the crank so the tines just graze the stubble between the tractor and tedder and pick up all the hay you are driving over. For 3 pt Remove or swing your draw bar out of the way if you are hitting the PTO shaft. I would not use a 3pt drawbar...those things should be banned.
