you wouldnt be trying to feed or trap ferals,would ya??? theyre getting smarter...i useta use corn soaked in diesel for bait [kept deer and coons away from corn] but last couple years havent been able to get hogs in trap. i've tried to feed out ferals before and havent had much luck...trick is to starve em and then throw feed in...if they eat keep feedin em...the truly wild ones will never eat again in captivity...anything over 200# i feed to buzzards anyhow...cant get that feral taste out of the big ones.
years ago when we still farmed west Galveston Island my mom worked for Falstaff Brewery...about once a month a big tanker would dump a load of used malt on pastures...we'd turn hogs in there for awhile...they loved it.
