I did this exact same thing to myy snow blower last winter. I bought an el cheapo hydraulic motor on ebay. I drilled 2 holes in the current bracket for the hand crank and bolted the motor to it. The crank pole slipped right on the motor shaft and I put a bolt thru it as a key. The only problem is for some reason it doesn't always wind the cable straight and the motor has enough torque to break the cable if I don't pay attention, but it awesome being able to move the chute without turning around and trying to twist the stinking crank.
