we still need 2 or 3 weeks before a killing frost. i did see a field of beans that is starting to get some color and has lost a few leaves. i think these beans went in late april. i was talking to a man last night who said his son had tried to chop some corn for silage but is to green and to much water in stalks. the man that rents my corn ground said he had never planted corn in so much mud but he had to get started. conditions got worse by end of may when rain is usually starting to slow down. lot of corn and beans went in ground in june some as late as june 15. i'm sure that was a shorter season corn. i was told shorter season became hard to get.
