If it were sitting in a pole born it couldn't of gotten much moisture inside of it unless the coollant seeped into the cylinders. I would drain the engine oil and make sure there is no water or coolant in it first. I've used rifle bore cleaner and I've seen it work on rusted machinery over night. See if your local Army surplus store has any and try that.
