Tractor under cover?

I read today's tip of the daya nd it was talking about storing your tractor under cover. My tractor will be stored outside (when I finally finish it). My question is that I have heard some bad things about tarping a tractor. What would you recommend, tarped or not, and why? Thanks,' Karl
