Yes that courageous Man came and made war on women and children taking everything of value and burning their homes. He came to Edisto Island where I grew up for the express purpose of getting rid of the people he freed that were following His army. He brought them over on barges and left them, hundreds of them died at the wharf about a mile from our house. What a hero. Ron
