the bank or repo company will need to pay him any charges that are incurred in order to release the vehicle. once in a while we run across this here at the body shop. generally it is on a police tow impounded vehicle that has towing and storage charges against it. advise the repo company that they will need to sign the necessary documents to release the vehicle to them and that it is CASH only upon release. it is not unheard of for them to either give a bad check or delay payment anywhere up 1 year. cash up front or no vehicle. they will try and negotiate for a better price, stick to your guns, they will pay the bill.
