I was in your place a year ago and I took a different approach. I bought an older (IH 3616) TLB with the idea of using it for a while, then sell it, and (hopefully) get most of my money back. It's a crap shoot but so far I have had no troubles and I've completed about half of my tasks.
I can't disagree with the other posts, but renting for me was not an option ... I work too slow. and upgrading a 30 hp tractor with a hoe would be a major disappointment. Good Luck. Stan
