I have a 4010 diesel with Bendix injectors (the lareger ones - about 1.25 inches around and 6 inches long) and I'm having a problem with the return fuel leaking on the first cylinder - very front of the engine. I took the injector out and when re-assembled it, the return fuel had a strong leak. I replaced the brass washers that sit between the top of the injector and the fuel line and the fuel line and the injector bolt (the hollowed bolt that screws into the top of the injector). I examined all the parts to ensure there were no scratches, paint build-up, or other imprefections. I also examined the threads on both the bolt and the injector and found them to look normal. I also thought that maybe the bolt that screws into the injector might be "bottoming out" so i added an additional brass washer and still no change.
At this point, it would appear to me that the only thing i can do is replace the return fuel line - maybe it has a crack in it where the line turns up back to the fuel tank.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions or experienced a similar issue?

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
