My husband and I are struggling to remove a wheel from a 1947 Farmall H. He has removed the bolts from the hub that holds the half-moon pillow block up against the axle. He has rigged the wheel such that he can pull evenly on the wheel with another tractor or a come-along. It seems to be binding at the key way associated with the pillow block. My husband is wondering if : 1. Should he be able to tap the pillow block ou now that he has removed the bolts? 2. Is the key a separate piece from the pillow block? Thanks for any suggestions.
