That kind of shaft is used in conveyor rollers. The bearings of the roller have hex hole, 11/16 being one size that is used. Where I used to work, there were conveyors 4 to 5 feet wide that moved product around the plant. That was a box making operation, so if you know some one in factory maintenance, see if they can help find some. We had new stock and changed it out some times when worn on ends. Center was ok. Also, steel suppliers should have it. HTH George
