I think there is something added to it. I am all for reducing my energy usage. Less money outta my pocket the better. My little chevy HHR is getting 30 -31 mpg. I frequently haul 8 ft boards in it. I have a GMC 6L 3/4 PU, but it gets about 13 or 14 at best, so it only gets about 1000 miles a year on it. No reason send the arabs any more $$$ than I have too. That little chevy is great for running around town. I didn't do any clunker deals, but this is something that makes sense, for me.
