I was sitting in a deer stand one cold morning, right after daylight, an owl came swooping through the trees and headed straight at me. Of course, I flinched and the owl landed on a limb about 3 feet above my head. Talking about waking you up. He then noticed me after about 5 seconds and flew off.
About a month ago I was driving home from work (West KY) and saw my first "in the wild" bald eagle soaring at tree top height along the edge of the road. Then, about 2 weeks ago I saw the same eagle sitting in a dead tree overlooking some old mine property at the same location.
