I've had it a couple of times--there are several different types of meat on an ostrich, varying considerably in flavor and texture. What I had was very good, but it was also supposed to be one of the best cuts. A butcher buddy had to do one a few years ago after it escaped and was killed by the cops--sure did look funny to come into his shop and see THAT hanging on his hooks! By the way, was "wokking the dog" one of the choices in the restaurant you went to? An old gent I know who fought in Korea had dog several times while there and said it was quite good. I'll take his word for it--can't say it sounds appetizing to me!
