I realize this may open a can of worms. However years ago I met a fellow in West Virgina who insted that mowing pasture in Augest at the time of the dark of the moon would kill weeds saplings thisel and all but grass. My uncle cut brush in august during the dark of the moon and it would not regrow. Ok I wish to mow some long neglected fescue this month which has some brush weeds and poison ivy. When is the dark of the moon, what day or days?? Any one else heard of this??
