First off how is the spark. 5 minutes could be a couple of things like bad ignition switch or condenser or lack of fuel. Check your spark first then if it is a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap move to fuel. Pull the drain plug from the bottom of the carb and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas for 5 minutes catch the gas so as to make sure its not full of water or dirt
