In years past I know it was true about missing body parts but most Grand Lodges today have either rescinded that part of the rule or have added an addendum that lets the Grand Master waive that part for people in you situation. I for one would encourage you to submit a new petition and an review by the GM . Since you family history is Masonic I would fight to get you in here in NC any time.
