Ditto on the laptop. Desk tops are just a waste of space unless you are some kind of gamer. Today's laptop use less power, can be taken to the shop if needed (add a wireless router and you take the net with you), and almost unlimited HD space using external drives.
Like was stated earlier Don't need nothing fancy, Hit youtube once in a while, email, and down load tractor manuals. Can't build a box for the cost of an Acer and you still have to buy a monitor.........
As far as Wal-Mart customer service goes, all they need to do is find the key to the cabinet. Acer handles any component issues, Microsoft handles the software issues, All I need to know is how to reload XP every time it locks up.
