Will insurance pay for anything? Home owners or what ever.
I would make the neighbor pay the cost of the deductable if insurance is paying. If insurance is not paying then tell your neighbor that he has to pay for the replacement cost of the trees....Plain and simple, if it was an accident. If it was done wantonly cause he is an a$$hole then make him pay full cost with your attorney fees.
I have an all wooded lot, all hardwoods. My neighbor also has an all wooded lot, all hardwoods. And he has cut 80% of his trees down cause he likes to cut grass......kinda dumb. I told this neighbor that if I saw anybody ever cutting down my trees then I would start shooting out the window. (I think he got the message)
