I am working on a Farmall Super MD (otherwise known as a very expensive project, but that's a different story). I am putting the engine back together from a total rebuild and realize the gasket kit I bought doesn't contain the front crankshaft seal. So I call my local CaseIH dealer and he tells me $148.00, after a pause I ask him if its gold plated and I get a chuckle from him. I kindly tell him there is no way in heck I am paying that much for a seal. One call to Napa, they cross the part number, $13.00, now that's more like it. Now who in there right mind would pay $148.00 for that seal???
