Because of breakdown of my normal baling tractor, I had to bale with an IH W4 once. You sit out over the back, and the PTO shaft comes between your legs. Of course, my baler PTO shaft didn't have any shielding, and I could see it was a disaster waiting to happen- so I duct-taped my overall legs to keep them from flapping. No problems, but I had to make a conscious effort to keep my feet out against the fenders so my leg wouldn't stray into the center when I was turning and watching the baler. If someone manufactured a tractor with that kind of design today, the lawyers would have a field day.
