a friend of mine was taking his uncles massey 44 to rake hay with a pto driven rake. the front half of the pto shaft was attached to shaft on tractor and was turning. i said to him shouldn't you do something about that? he said no it will be okay. about that time he hit a hole in the lane the shaft bounced up and whacked the light off of fender. he said that could have been bad! his uncle was hot!
