Hello, I have finally recovered from falling off the barn roof, and have just cranked my restored CA. I have a charging problem. The ammeter is not moving at all the way I have it wired, and the generator is not charging. I reversed the wires on the ammeter, and when I pull the switch to the light position, the cutout points stick, and the amp gauge pegs all the way to positive and the cutout point stick. I have to cut the engine and unstick the points. I reverse them back, and then no movement at all no matter if the engine is running or not when the switch is in any position. Any suggestions?
