Surprised nobody else mentioned it, if you have a loader it works a lot better. Just carry the bucket as low as possible without catching on the ground. That will push the stuff over before it has a chance to smack your grill, and also stop you if you come up to a big rock or stump without seeing it. If there are a lot of Thornapples or other spiked brush you would do well to replace the front tires with some cast-off steelbelt truck tires.
