100 bucks for three filters? Did you get oil too, or just the filters? If so, it sounds like it was a bit overpriced to me. Which parts house did you go to? It's been a while since I bought any filters, last time I bought 3 of each as I recall because I service mine at home. Next time you better send James to get the filters! 18 MPG is good, that is about what I get with mine on the highway. Stop and go traffic will hurt the mileage, so you shouldn't have any complaints. Towing the trailer, I imagine you will get 14 or better. I might make one suggestion, pick up an extra fuel filter and keep it in the truck. In a pinch, you can change it on the road. The cap unscrews as you now know and the filter drops in from the top. If the well is dry, you will have to put fuel in there prior to attempting to restart the truck. I had issues with mine one day, and a quick filter change kept me on the road. Cheap insurance. Also, good choice on the WIX filter. They are the best IMO. Napa filters are badged NAPA but are made by WIX.
