I used to keep rabbits. Always put the doe in the buck's cage. Had a doe nearly kill a buck once when I did it the other way around. They can be territorial. Sometimes the doe just doesn't want to be bred. When she does that, you have to hold her down with he rear stuck out while the buck gets the job done. When he's done, he will fall off to one side. Doesn't take long. If you try it again in a week, and she violently refuses the buck, he got the job done and there should be a litter in 3 weeks.
