There's one for sale around here.. Not much info given other than 'runs good' and has hydraulic blade and canopy.

Seller wants $1800.

Are these 'maintainable' for doing any real work or are they mainly a collector's item at this point ?

I have in mind some occasional light roadbuilding, skidding small logs, levelling out the cow feeder area etc.

Should I go take a look (100 mi round trip) or save my pennies for a Cat D4U or JD 440/550 etc. ?
