I wonder what is up with that, I was a big Schrade fan, being they were in NYS, in business a long time and made a great product, but that changed when they went out or whatever eventually happened, not sure what the status of them is.
Last summer I picked up a new Buck 503 with their symbol on the base of the blade and U.S.A, was $29.00 at Walmart, just happened to see these on the shelf, good quality knife, I used to like Schrade steel, years back I thought it held and edge longer, but this Buck ( and I'm careful with it) seems to just right for a pocket knife, the last Schrade I bought, locking mechanism failed and would no longer stay locked, it was the last of their production too, before they went out. Wonder what is up with Buck, thought I found a U.S. made product at Walmart, which I don't like supporting, but sometimes have to shop there.
