My friend calls me and said the mower stopped moving, the engine runs and the blades turn. I looked under at the drive belt and it's in pieces. Put a new belt in, started and went forward and reverse a few times in the garage and it worked ok. Drove to the yard and mowed to the other side and back,worked great. Stopped the blades and started to go forward and went about 10 ft when it stopped moving then I heard the belt fopping around and shut engine off. The new belt is now torn up. I talked to local repair shop, he said the Hydro static trans is locking up and that is common when the trans is going bad. Anybody else ever heard of this problem? thanks, Brad
