If it were mine I'd put some in a clear jar to see if there are any floaters or any water. Assuming none, I'd drop some algicide in it, filter it and use it. My jobber bought several hundred thousand gallons in 2005 that came out of old military underground tanks. Some of it had been in there 40-50 years and he says no complaints. He did filter it 3 different times but it burned fine for me.
