Hmm, I'd call it "encouraging news". Demand for fuel could mean that the economy is starting to turn around. I'm sure the thousands of unemployed oilfield workers around the country would like to see gas prices go up a bit more.
How little we remember: A few months ago when gas prices were around four bucks a gallon, a number of you folks were saying "just think what it would do for our economy if gas went below two bucks a gallon!" Well, you got your wish: Gas went down to a buck-fifty the same time the economy tanked. So much for that theory. Now, gas prices are going up. Well, the bad news is you have to pay more for gas. But it's still a bargain compared to a year ago. And it just might mean good news for the economy.
