I have a '89 GMC 2500 4x4 that I have been trying to get rid of, and with no luck, I think I will sell my '04 2500 and just keep the '89 (too many vehicles). Long story short, I was thinking of buying a flatbed for it. I have always wanted one because I think they would be real handy around the farm. The box on the truck is excellent with no rust and a newer tailgate, so I hope it would be worth around $7-800. My question is, what kind is the best "bang for the buck?" I have been looking hard at Hillsboro steel flat beds. I would like to have an aluminum, but I don"t know if it is worth it. The truck is an '89, but with less than 100,000 miles and a brand new 350 in it, so I hope to have it a while yet. Do you guys have any other preferences or experiences?
