Thanks for the help. The alternator light now comes on but doesn't go out when the engine starts and I increase the rpms. I had the alternator checked at the parts store and it is ok. The wiring diagram for the old alternator(external voltage regulator) showed three wires connecting to the alt light. One from the alternator, one from the regulator and one from the switch. I now have two wires to the light. One from the alternator and one from the switch. Am I still doing something wrong? Here is how I have the charging circuit wired: Switch>circuit breaker>alternator>starter>battery+ the wire from the alternator to the alt light. I must admit electrical circuitry is not my thing. Bob
