If it is a valve sticking you may be able to free it without much trouble. Get some Berrymans B12 Chemtool solvent, last I got was at WalMart. Start the engine with the valve cover off let it run at an idle. Flood the offending valve with B12 a little at a time. You can actually get enough past the valve to kill that cylinder for a bit. It should flush everything clean and free it up. Worked on my B after Dad used nothing but non-detergent oil in it for 45 years. Just a thought. If you can't get B12 there's probably other stuff that will work. Might be a good idea to change oil after you are done. The whole can of B12 will help clean the crankcase too. Paul
