Finally look at putting some water out to my trees that I grow. I am going to look at two pto pumps this weekend. Both are 4".
I have 2 5 acre fields each approx 300 x 700. I think I want to run a big stationary sprinkler(s) that I can move around. I am trying to avoid drip lines, due to the labor to install. Unless everyone tells me it is really the only way to go.
I only plan on using it during the dry times. Electricity is not an option due to location.
Does a 4 inch pump (100-150gpm) push enough water to cover my area without moving a sprinkler tower around too much?
I have a big pond (1 acre) that touches these fields to draw from.
