I realize this sounds like a fractured fairy tale but it's not. I went over and read the TNRCC folks newsletters and the actual findings of the committee. If you follow the links and go through all the hubub it's all there. The only thing the reporter missed was the dates. The final "retirement" date for the old iron is 2004 instead of 2001. The fuels offered change is in 2001 but everything else filters in up until 2004. This is a law that was formed and voted on by a 3 person board that Bush Jr has appointed . There was supposed to be a community hearing to see what complaints we the people would have and to see if certain exemptions would be granted. When I called TNRCC they said they had cancelled the local meetings and that it was already passed as legislation. The very nice lady said I could write them a complaint on the matter. I just can't figger it out. Should I put my complaint in with my letter to Santa Claus or in the Easter Bunny's letter???? If you go over and read the TNRCC pages would you please pay close attention to the complaints by Exxon and Mobil Oil companies. Then pay real close attention to the finding of the board to favorably exempt the big oil and chemical companies.
