I changed out the gears on my 85 F-150 from the factory 3.55 to 4.10s years ago when I used it for pulling our drag car. It made all the difference hauling it up the mountain.
I have a set of 4.10 gears for the 8.8" rear-end that are in an 85 F-150 rearend right now I will sell you if you are interested. If I dig around, I may can come up with an install kit too. I also have an Eaton 31-spline posi for it I could sell too.
