I'm assuming you've got the light-duty Mazda M5R trans? Just stop using 5th gear, and drive around in 4th and you get a feel of what 4.10s would be like. That Mazda trans has a .75 overdrive in 5th.
Your truck now revs around 2000 RPM at 65 MPH. With 4.10s it will rev 2400 RPM. If you drive now in 4th it revs 2700 RPM.
Much depends on how much engine you have and what it is you want to accomplish. Since you've already got a light-duty truck, I'm not sure what you're hoping for.
My 92 Dodge Cummins with 3.50 axles pulls a heavy trailer much better then my Ford 7.3 turbo with 4.10s. Also gets better fuel mileage doing it. So, obviously, the engine makes a big difference.
