I found out that the mag-chloride solution that many highway crews now use for melting ice and snow will build up on the lenses and can't be washed off with regular hi-pressure water/soap methods. After you've washed the vehicle and it dries there is a film that stays on the lens. Rubbing alcohol and a paper towel takes it off. 8)
