Foolish talk...the large guns on the battle ships can't target a maneuvering 22' boat very well and sending in the Tomcats (are they still flying those?) doesn't make any sense. Now if you said to mount some heavy machine guns on board ships and other armament, it'd made more sense but...who will man them? Crews are crews not warriors and visa versa. Put American military on board? These are private companies and the companies hold the key to it and they don't want arms on their ships. Bomb the sanctuaries? Nope...indiscriminate bombing is stupid...get one pirate and kill 1000 civilians....that'll go over well with the world.
