The throw-out bearing request does sound a little odd, but if they want it, fine. I replaced ours as a matter of course anyway.

Splitting a tractor isn't any joke, and doing the clutch right is worth it. Those rebuild places, if they are at all competent, usually turn out to be a bunch cheaper than buying new parts or parts from a vendor such as CT, etc.
