Here in my part of So Cal the citrus growers use a flail mower that seams to do a fairly good job. I have mulched a lot of tree branches with my 6 ft woods mower, but this takes several passes, where a flail mower will do it in one pass. Now the problem with a flail mower is it takes more hp. I hooked up a 6 ft flail mower to my Massy 231 it has a 3 cyl perkins diesel. It didn't heve enough power to run the flair mower. I would use a rotary mower, and make a few extra passes. I have also seen a chipper that can hook directly to the three point on your tractor. That will take extra work if you have a lot of trees. Where are you located in calif? Stan
