Lew's comments are right on. I have both systems on my tractors. Experience has been the solenoid is more reliable and provides a bit more cranking power (shorter cables and longer-lasting high current contacts). But the manual button setup is less complicated. And if you're a stickler for originality, the manual button is how things were originally setup at the factory.
