Take a 2 litre pop bottle cut the top off before it curves up towards the neck. remove cap and label and place a chunk of raw meat inside. Then invert the top part to close the trap and if cut right it will seal. When there are fly eggs on the meat, dump in a little hot water and it will kill the eggs then let the water drain out and the flies will be back for the meat again. Boiling water will mess up the bottle so just make it good and hot. As far as I know the female fly dies anwyway when the eggs are laid. so by killing off the offspring before they hatch sure puts a big dent in the poplulation IF you keep up with it. That also works for fruit flies but use fruit and vinegar for bait.
