Massey Harris Electrical conversion

I have purchased a 1949 Massey Harris 30 from a farm auction, the previous owner converted this tractor from a 6volt system to a 12volt system using a Ford altenator and voltage regulator. Can someone assist in direction of wiring the voltage regulator with the altenator.
