need some help please...working on a JD 720 LP tractor ...12V neg. ground...tried the Pertronix unit & when I pulled a plug wire the spark spike burned the new unit up...talked to pertronix & they tell me thats what happens if you pull a wire [suppose to ground it out not pull it off]..anyhow installed new points & cond. & tractor ran good for about 5 min. & quit ..the points had gotten so hot that they were blue & burned...I did install a new Blaster 2 coil at the same time as the Pertronix using ballast resistor that came with coil..I think now that the coil is the problem with both units ..can anyone enlighten me...thanks ..Kent
