Have been using signs on the roll form local hardware. They are made of a material called Tyvek. Probably the same stuff they make house wrap out of. Lasts about two years, when carefully stapled up to a smooth bark tree, or fencepost. Second year they show some fading, and I may add a few staples. Ones I get have a line for you to add your name. I just fold that under, and leave name off. Don"t know how long a permanent marker would last on these. Hope this helps.
